Very well written overview of the C's BigTicket...and i agree with the idea of the Hornets possibly winning it all this coming season.First,i felt the Hornets were the better team in the West this past season, but was unable to get pass the Spurs. Also,i felt the Jazz were better than the Lakers, but the Lakers got HOT in the playoffs, and sometimes, its whose more Hot than not.Getting back to the Hornets, possibly winning it all this coming season,is based on them already turning the corner last season, and now with the addition of Pose, they will be more confident, and their bench will be a lot stronger.Although, ive read where they might play Pose in the starting lineup, depending on whose playing well or not at the 3spot.In the case of the east,it will definitely be more interesting, and should be tougher, with Elton Brand in Philly, the Raptors with the twin towers, and some more improvements throughout the east.I wouldn't count the Wizards out to fast this year either.I think they will make some improvements, but will not be competing for the east title. Now,the Celtics, are a little harder to gauge,at this moment, mainly because DA may not be finished with adding a few pieces by Nov.Im thinking the Celtics will have to get a stronger bench,at least by the playoffs next season.A lot depends on where they are after the All-Star break, this coming season.Finishing with the most wins, will definitely be a factor in how they finish in the end.If the C's had not finished with the best record in the NBA this past season, the playoff picture might have been a different story. With having homecourt advantage throughout the first couple rounds, were major in the C's success.I don't have to go into details, because we all know how scary Atlanta turned out to be.Im picking the Hornets right now,but it could change over the season.
Another thing i am not completely happy with is the center position with the C's.Ive never felt Perkins was a starter-type center, but he was sufficient this past season, because KG is a beast and plays hard enough to take up the slack on both ends down low.But will he be able to carry the load this season, like he basically did this past season?Perkins seems to only be good for 2 1/2-3 quarters.Perk needs to stop whinning so much, and play ball more.He allows the refs, and players to get inside his head to much.Im not a hater when it comes to Perkins, but i call them as i see 'em.So,they definitely need to find a good backup vet.center,(imo)before the playoffs.
Im still a little pissed at losing Pose, but its a done-deal,and im moving on with it.I still think, they (Celtics)made a big mistake,by not finding a way to pick him up.I know all about the MLE,and the future was the main reason, but their should have been a sacrifice made, somehow to keep him.

I see no reason why the Cs wont repeat -- ok 1: complacency. If they can muster the same drive for a championship, I think they'll be back. They're not losing much. And they'll have been playing together for longer. They weren't supposed to win the first year together. They hit a few bumps in the playoffs but it all came together in the end. We'll have to see if any of the other teams have improved enough because the Cs aren't getting any worse.

Rondo got a lot of his buckets and made a lot of plays because of the lack of respect other teams had for him. They would hardly cover him, instead using the player guarding him as a roamer. Once that changes, he will be a middle of the pack (maybe slightly above average) point guard. In all honesty, I see no way the Celtics repeat. Allen is on the downward slide, and other teams in the East (Magic, Sixers) are younger and improving. They may win the East next year, but no way they beat the Lakers (now with Bynum), Hornets, Rockets, Spurs, or Jazz in a seven gamer.
