Welcome to Second Jumpability

Hello everyone and welcome to Second Jumpability, your one-stop spot for overall sports information.  You may be wondering a bit about our name.  Well, it’s pretty simple.  Our inspiration was started on NBA Draft Night ‘08 when Jay Bilas made the claim that Michael Beasley has tremendous “Second Jumpability.”  That was the night we realized that commentators are one of two things, idiots or crack addicts.  We decided the world was starving for some real sports knowledge where the writers don’t fall into the normal garbage idiosyncrasies of sports today.  Here, you will not hear that someone is a “freak athlete” or that they are “a great clubhouse guy” because I think we’re all sick and tired of hearing about this.

I mean come on!  How long will Jason Varitek and his mendoza line threatening batting average remain a quality player because he is a great “locker room presence.”  What does he do in there?  I need to know.  Does he know the numbers for the best hookers in town?  Does he surprise teammates on their birthdays with hookers?  Is he, himself, a hooker?  How does this guy help a team win a game?  Answer: he doesn’t.  He’s a joke.  He couldn’t hit off a 12 year old little leaguer.  If he played in the Little League World Series of Softball, he might just crack .300.  The guy’s a joke but the media keeps him popular because of this facade of the great clubhouse guy.  Well that time is over.  A new day is upon us.  The night is always darkest before the dawn and the dawn is coming (Harvey Dent nods acknowledgingly).  Second Jumpability is here…perhaps the most important cultural phenomenon since Gigli wowed us with its Oscar-worthy acting.
